Practice Pillars

The paperwork that has to happen before anything else can.

Entity, tax registration, identifiers, insurance, and policies. None of it is difficult on its own. Doing it in the wrong order is what costs months.

What has to exist, and in what order

Entity formation
structure, state registration, and the operating agreement. Your accountant and attorney own the advice; we own the sequence and the follow-through.
EIN and tax registration
federal and state, before payroll or banking can be set up.
NPI
individual and group. Required before any payer application can start.
Banking and payroll
accounts open before you have staff waiting to be paid.
Insurance
malpractice first, because credentialing applications ask for it.
Compliance groundwork
HIPAA policies, OSHA, staff training, and the documentation you need in place before the first patient.

Why the order matters

Credentialing cannot start without an NPI, and payers ask for malpractice coverage and a practice address. Each of those has its own lead time, so a week lost here becomes a month lost later.

The full sequence, including where this fits, is on Launch. Credentialing is on its own page because it is the longest pole.

What we do not do

We are not your attorney and not your accountant. We work alongside them, keep the sequence moving, and make sure nothing waits on a form nobody knew was needed.
